2010 Hoosick Falls St. Patrick's Parade and Irish Fest

The Hoosick Falls St Patrick's Parade and Irish Fest will celebrated its 18th Anniversary on March 14th, 2010. Seventeen years ago, local Irishman Mike Conway and TJ Carmody wanted to find a way to keep the Irish Culture and History alive in the Hoosick area, and Decided that a parade was the Ticket! The history of St Patrick's parades Dates back to when Irish immigrants made their way to Hoosick Falls in the mid 1800s and ended sometime in the 1950s.And was started again in 1991. Each year the parade has grown to what it has become today and The Irish Fest. has Become a First Night like event. We begin day with the Parade with over 40 Marching Units and Floats at 1:00 PM followed by the Irish Fest. After the parade people can take in the Entertainment at the New York State Armory with Dublin TrainWreck, Campbell's School of Irish Dance, Oran Mor Pipe Band and Food. Or visitors can walk to the other bars and Restaurants that offer The Celtic Games, Irish Music and food. We also offer bus rides from site to site and latter in the evening offer Safe Rides Home. The Parade and Irish Fest have become the Single largest one-day event in the Town of Hoosick with two to three thousand visitors that day. It is also the best day of year for local for local bars, Restaurants and Shops.
