NY Saint Patrick's Parade in the State of New
York (NY)
The Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade will be held Sunday March
14th, 2010 in
Goshen, New York staring at 2:00 p.m.
Three events
including the Parade will take place on the day. There will be a Mass, Grand
Marshal’s Breakfast, and the Parade.
Parade day
will kickoff with a 9:00 a.m. Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church,
located at 71 Murray Avenue in Goshen. The Mass will celebrate the Parade
and honor the Grand Marshal.
The second
event, the Grand Marshal’s Breakfast will be held immediately following the
Mass at Brookside Manor, Located on the Goshen Turnpike, between Goshen and
Middletown. Tickets for this event are $15.00 per person. Tickets must be
purchased by March ??rd. No tickets will be sold at the door.

drawn at the Breakfast.
The 31stth
annual Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade will top off the day. The Parade will
lineup at the Orange County Government Center. The lineup time is between
1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. with the step off at 2:00 p.m.
Four divisions
make up the Parade, each division representing one of the four provinces of
Ireland. The lineup is an assortment of Pipe Bands, bands youth and civic
groups, fire companies, color guards, and the 12 local Irish clubs that
sponsor the Parade. The Parade Committee awards five trophies to marching
units. There is a trophy for “Best Marching Unit” “Best Color Guard Unit”,”
Champion Band” Runner –Up Band”, and “Best Youth Group”. For further

12 Irish clubs
from Orange County sponsor the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade Committee. Of
the 12,3 are original sponsors from 1976.AOH Div.1 of Monroe,
Middletown-Irish American Society, and the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Cultural
Society remain from 4 original clubs. Men’s AOH Div. 2 of Cornwall, Men’s
AOH Div.3 of Warwick, and Men’s AOH Div. 4 of Middletown make up the
remainder of the Committee. Ladies AOH Div. 1 of Monroe, Ladies AOH Div.2 of
Cornwall, Ladies AOH Div.3 of Warwick, Ladies AOH Div. 4 of Middletown, St.
Brendan’s Gaelic Football Club of Monroe, and newcomer The Irish Heritage
Festival of Goshen.
