2010 Sidney Saint Patrick's Day Parade & Concert

Sunday, March 15th, 2010

The 2010 Saint Patrick's Day Parade & Festival takes place on Sunday March 15th. Yes, Ireland may be thousands of miles away, but Sydney has its very own Saint Patrick's Day Festival on the feast day of Ireland's patron saint. The event has a wonderful and vibrant parade, as well as free street entertainment for all the family.

The festival attracts huge numbers each year, and in the past Sydney's Hyde Park has played host to wide variety of Irish themed acts, from ceili dancing, folk music to a U2 tribute band.

Sunday, March 15th is the day to book in your diaries. Hyde Park is the venue after the Parade. More details will be provided as soon as we have them for you. For the children, we have a small animal farm, pony rides and a trackless train….all free of charge as will entry to Hyde Park. We aim to have 20 stalls and a big Irish pub with a full Irish jam session going on in the bar area. Only the bar area will be fenced off this year (to comply with liquor licensing laws), the remainder of Hyde Park will be free to all.
Plans are well underway for the 2010 Parade and all associations and businesses are encouraged to place an entry, be it a float or a marching group or both
We are looking for Volunteers to act as Marshals for the day.
