2007 Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade
Saturday, March 17, 2007, 10 a.m.
Welcome to the 45th Annual
Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Our theme, Irish Roots and Cowboy Boots” pays tribute to the myriads of
pioneers, miners and entrepreneurs of Irish descent who contributed to the
development of our western heritage.
We are honored to have as Grand Marshals all five of the cowboys who took
part in the television series Texas Ranch House seen on PBS, which depicted
life on the frontier in 1867. They come to us at their own expense, complete
with horses and tackle, from all over the United States. I think you will
enjoy reading their biographies (some with Irish and Pony Express ancestral
connections) and seeing them in action.
We extend a very hearty thank you to the ten thousand plus parade
participants and the tens of thousands who come to see one of the biggest
and best St. Patrick’s Day parades in the world.
The parade committee also thanks Bellco Credit Union and all our other
advertisers and sponsors who support us financially, allowing us to give
Denver its largest and most diverse parade.
Enjoy!! Slante,
Larry E. Lawler

President's Message - Dear Members and Visitors,
As we start the planning process of our 44th Annual Denver
St. Patrick's Day Parade, it's good to look back and reflect on where we have
been and what good and great things we have accomplished during these past 44
years. We have grown with the help of new memberships, and sadly, we have
lost a few dear friends along the way. May they rest in Peace and the
perpetual light shine upon them.
This Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade is recognized as one
of the best in the country and the biggest west of the Mississippi River.
This could not have been done without the hard work and best efforts given by
you, the membership, past and present. Let's not forget our beginnings and
those founding members, who have served to help our Committee for so many years,
thank you once again. May we also remember to welcome and embrace any and
all new people who have recently joined us.
If you would like to join the committee in putting
together one of the greatest parade in the country go to our website at
denverstpatricksdayparade.com and you will find information there. But most
importantly, let's all remember, let's make this Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade
FUN!
Slainte!
